PR Agency Adds 2 New Nonprofit Clients

Public relations at Katalinas Communications does not follow a one-size-fits-all approach.

At Katalinas Communications, we recognize that each of our nonprofit clients has their own unique story. That’s why we incorporate varied public relations strategies into each campaign and with every client.

Founder Theresa Katalinas prides herself on truly listening to and understanding the clients’ needs before devising a fundraising drive, marketing plan, social media strategy or PR project.

The agency’s success over the last decade most recently resulted in the addition of two new nonprofit clients: SCORE Central Jersey, and listener-supported community radio station WDVRfm.

Katalinas Communications has a long history with several chapters of the national SCORE organization. Soon after launching Katalinas Communications in February 2014, Theresa began undertaking public relations, email marketing and graphic design services for SCORE Bucks County. Throughout her time working for this chapter – which serves entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia suburbs – Theresa has written and overseen publishing of a number of “Ask SCORE” business-focused thought leadership columns. She has also written and received local, regional and national online, broadcast and TV coverage for more than 50 small business success stories within the chapter.

After replicating that success in 2023 with SCORE Indianapolis, Katalinas Communications this fall began working for SCORE Central Jersey, which offers entrepreneurial support throughout Somerset, Hunterdon and Middlesex counties in New Jersey. A born storyteller, Theresa is guiding the chapter and  its clients in spreading awareness of the many local business successes that have been realized as a result of the chapter’s mentoring support. Theresa taps into her reporter’s background to bring these business owners’ stories to life, all while weaving in interesting and timely news hooks that are gaining traction in various media markets.

After a successful public relations campaign for WRDV FM, which generated publicity in media outlets throughout suburban Philadelphia, as well as New Jersey, Katalinas Communications began this fall assisting WDVR in spreading awareness of and garnering media coverage to help promote its annual fund drive.

WDVR reaches listeners throughout its vast radio coverage area, which spans north and central New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and online through its streaming app.

Since its inception in 1990, the station has been fully run by an all-volunteer team of more than 50 DJs, who each bring their unique flair to programs focused on gardening, cooking, Broadway shows, as well as numerous musical formats.

Katalinas Communications serves a number of nonprofit and local government organizations, including the Bucks County Wine Trail, Falls Township, Edward Taylor Coombs Foundation, Fallsington Library and Conshohocken Borough Authority, among others.
